IL <br />*Upon receipt of approval from the City, CBBEL will proceed to Phase 2 (Task 4 through 6). <br />Task 4 — Full Desion Services <br />This task will include the design and preparation of final construction documents for the <br />project. Plans and specifications will be prepared in accordance with City Standards and <br />Specifications. <br />Plans will be developed using base sheets created from the topographic survey. The project <br />will consider design features to address the requirements of the regulatory agencies <br />involved with this construction. This task will also include coordination with utility company <br />representatives to identify potential utility relocation needs. Information gathered during this <br />task will be shown on the final construction plans. Specifications will be developed utilizing <br />standard specifications and general conditions provided by the City supplemented ('If <br />needed) with CBBEL standard technical specifications. <br />CBBEL staff will provide an opinion of probable cost based on the final construction plans. <br />This opinion will be based on the judgment of CBBEL engineering staff, supplemented by <br />local construction project history information provided by the City. An itemized list of the <br />estimated quantities or work units required to complete the job will be included. <br />It is anticipated that during the progress of this task, CBBEL will meet with the City staff and <br />other necessary local representatives to discuss the progress of the design. Three meetings <br />are included in the proposed fee. <br />Schedule to complete: 4 Months from approval date of Concept Plans <br />Task 5 - Rule 5 Permit: <br />A Rule 5 permit (IDEM) will be required for this project. CBBEL will prepare the submittal <br />package and required documentation including the publication of a legal notice in a local <br />newspaper. The package will be provided to the City for signature and submittal to IDEM. <br />Schedule: 30 days from completion of final design <br />Task 6 - Bid Services: <br />CBBEL will provide three full copies of the final design documents to the City prior to <br />bidding. CBBEL will assist the City in conducting a pre -bid conference at a location of the <br />City's choosing. CBBEL will address contractor questions and prepare and issue addenda, <br />as needed. Following bid opening, CBBEL will compile and certify bid tabulation sheets and <br />provide a contract award recommendation to the City. It is assumed that City staff or <br />representatives will coordinate the bid collection, bid opening, and the preparation of the <br />construction agreement. <br />Schedule: Assumed 8 week bid period <br />Total Estimated Fee for Phase 2 (Tasks 4 through 6) is $153.000.00 <br />3 erChristoph B.
