January % 1923, <br />Hon, Board of Public Works, <br />City Hallo <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />We hereby offer to test and inspeet,'in the same intelligent and <br />scientific manner as heretofore, the asphalt paving awarded for construction_ in <br />your city during the year 1923 on the same basis as last, year, vis: Two and one- <br />half (2 ) cents per square'yard for axe course asphaltic eonerete'pavement, and thre <br />three (3) cents per square yard for two course sheet asphalt pavement. The Engineer <br />final measurements to govern. <br />The character of —our' service will be similar in every respect to that <br />rendered in the past. In Addition, should you desire any change or modification <br />to your present asphalt specifications we will perform that service without addition <br />al compensation. In fact,., any service we can reader toward the success of your. <br />1923 improvements will be yours for the asking. <br />This proposal is merely a renewal of our Qrrmageeient with your City of <br />Cast year and, imposes no obligation on your city in the event that no asphalt <br />Paving is awarded during the present year.
