1.s0CAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION A. 1081
<br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bondy.
<br />County of�Ste Joseph, Stake,of Indiana, That the constr�ctlon of a local sewer,
<br />intended and adapted only for local use by the property holders whose property
<br />abuts thereon, and not intended or adapted for receiving sewerage frodoollateral
<br />drains, be.and theasame is hereby ordered in and along Indiana Avenue from Leer
<br />Street to the alley east of Clyde Street and C13ide Street from Indiana Avenue to
<br />Dubsi1 Avenue as follows, to--wit:-
<br />Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Leer Street and
<br />Indiana Avenue; thence east -along the center line of Indiana Avenue 300 feet with
<br />a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer; thence southeasterly to a",point,-in the center
<br />of XClyde Street 8 feet 'northerly from the northerly curb line of Indiiana Avenue
<br />with a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer; thence sout,headtorly parallel with and 8
<br />feet north of the north curb lihe of Indiana *Avenue to a point 40 feet west of
<br />the west line of the alley east of Clyde Street with a 10 inch ,_vitrified pipe
<br />sewer. ALSOr Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Clyde Street
<br />at a point 8 feet north of the north Blurb line of Indiana Avenue; -thence south
<br />along the center line of .Clyde Street to a point 20 feet south of the alleY north
<br />of Dubail Avenue with e),+10.inch vitrified pipe sewer Together with the
<br />necessary mamhholes, storm water.inlets, conduits and house connections to the
<br />curb line along the line of said Improvement, all as is more particularly shown
<br />and all in accordance with the plans, profiles, detail drawings and specification
<br />o a file -in the Office of the Department of Public Works of the C:Lty of South -
<br />Bend, Indiana.

<br />be apportioned against.and _paid by the property holders whose property abuts thereon, and upon the City of
<br />South Bend it the City is benefited by said improvement, all according to the method and manner provided for
<br />is Act of 'the General Assembly of the 6te-te of Indiana, entitled "An Act -Concernieg Municipal Corporations,"
<br />approv®d Mareb 6, 1aQ6. Assessmeuts. `if deferred. are to be paid u ten equal annual installments, with in-
<br />torest at the rase of Sit 3ier cent per annum. A bond or bonds shall be issued to the contractor in payment for
<br />ii tch work., unless the property owfiers P.%y said assess.: -ants bet.,re said band or bonds are issued. Under no
<br />oiroumdtances.shall the City of South Bend be or be l:eid responsible for any sum or sums due from .said prop-
<br />osty owner or owners for sa`d work, or for the aollectiou of same. or for the Payment of an- bond 'br bonds,

<br />:Resolved that notices as to the assessments be published on the
<br />24th. day of November 1922 and on the lot. day of December 1922 in the South Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune, skating that this Board will give a hearing on the amoun&
<br />of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 13th,. day of December
<br />1922 /at 7:15 P.M.
<br />Resolved further, that the entire work under the above
<br />contract be accepted and approved and the following detimate thereon allowed.
