Board met in regular session at 9:00 A.M. All members present. C.ounoilmsn Sid Thornton and Atty. Omacht appeared befarre the Board in regard to petition filed in Spring for grade, curb and walk on Tu-rnock Street. Advised that.% resolution had been ordered tor same. V. Babcock, Atty. 0. Deahl and Mr..Nolan representatives of the Indiana Petroleum Company appeared before the Board in reggard to permission to pur in driveway in lawn space at northeast corner of Lincoln Way West and Olive Street around filling tank at curb. This matter discussed and.;the Board ordered these parties to remove entirely all pumps off of City property, and permit -for driveway denied. :inspector reported as follows on light petitions: Light in alley running eas tna dwest from Follows Street to Erskine Ilvd. between Ewing Avenue and Seeberger Drive. Those. garages are_the old sheds left by the Builder's of the Erskine homes there is now an are light to the _ northwest a -quarter of a block-. No. building or trees between the li ht and garages. There dre two boulevard lights about-200feet tothe east this same alley the light toward the garages is painted, black on the side tenmrds the garage. Wayne Street east from 51,. Jesaph St, to the River. T beg to recommend twenty one iron posts with single lights of 100 Candle power be placed on E. Wayne Street between St. Joseph Street and the River acid remove two arc lights. When boulevard lights are placed on E. Wayne Street slso place same style lights on Carroll, Columbia and Lincoln Way East. The arc lights` now there show better lights than 21 boulevard lights. Thos. H. Beaning. The annexed plat is a plat of Queensboro Addition to the City of South Bend, St-. Joseph County; Indiana, which covers the following tract of land; Beginning at the east line of Michigan St. and the center line of Oakside St. thence east along the center line of said Oakside St. fourteen hundred six and two tenths (140602) ft. to the center line of Fellows St. thence,north along the center of Fellows St. tour hundred sixty-eight and fifteen hundreths (468 15) ft. to the South line of 'Irvington Addition; thence west•alon the south line of said Irvington Addition fourteen hundred seven and six tenths 4407.6) ft. to the east line of Michigan St, thence south along the East line of said Michigan St. four hundred sixty-seven and ninety-five hmelreths (467,95) ft. to the place of beginning.
