Board met in regular session at 9:00 A.M. All members present. <br />Excavation bond for the sum of One Thousand Dollars filed by the <br />Northern Indiana GaTasl & Elea. Co. with personal sureties. Same refused by the Board <br />and Clerk instructed to return bond to, Gas Company for a surety company. <br />Bids were received on the following improvements. <br />Pipe sewer on William Street. <br />Bid of Staples & Ackerman. <br />15 inch 'pfpe °sewer 'per 'lin 'ft ..............$2.85 <br />10 inch -pipe °sever per 'lin °ft - 2.00 <br />12 inch,pipe -sewer •per •li.n'ft. - 2.35 <br />8 inch -pipe sewer-per'ltn ft. .90 <br />6 inch Pipe sewer per lin ft. 1.15 <br />Manholes per ft. 8.00 <br />Man_hol s, curbs and covers, each 18.00 <br />Storm water inlets, each2.00 <br />Check $128.00- <br />Pavement on. Alley West of Franklin Street. <br />Bid of Hoban ,& Roach. <br />Grading per cu. yd. 1.25 <br />-Concretd 'pavment per sq. yd. 2.50 <br />Check $100.00 <br />Bids -were referred to`the City Engineer for tabulaton to be <br />reported on Wednesday November lst., 1922 at 7:15 P.M. <br />Property owners presented a petition for pipe sewer on E. Indiana <br />Avenue from Leer Street to lst. alley east of Clyde Street. Board ordered resolution <br />for sewer on E. Indiana Avenue from Leer Street to 1st. alley east of C10de Street <br />and on Clyde•Street betwee Indiana Avenue and Dubail Avenue. Resolution ordered. <br />The Board 'ordered the following lights placed. <br />9--100 C. P. lights placed on South St. Joseph Street from -Jefferson <br />St. to Wayne Street. <br />Reset, Are light now at the corner of Wayne Street and St. Joseph <br />Street to the,aliey south of St. Joseph Street. Remove one are light from St. Joseph <br />Street., . <br />Pole and Wire Inspector recommended that a 100 C.-P. light <br />be placed at the rear of 722 Wenger Street, at corner of 1st, alley south of Wenger <br />Street. Same approved. <br />Petition filed and resolution ordered for a pavement on Marine <br />Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street. <br />Petition filed for light at Dayton Street from Miami Street <br />to Mumford Court. Referred to inspector for report. <br />Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Alley West of <br />William Street from Mayne Street to Division Street with asphalt, asphaltic concr&te <br />bitulithic, concrete or brick, in pursuance to resolution No. 1059 the Board finds <br />that no petition has been filed with said Board by a majority in number of the free- <br />holders residing on said street to be improved, requesting that it be improved with <br />a different"trine of pavement than the kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its <br />preliminary order; and the City Engineer reports that the Hoban & Roach is the lowest <br />and best bidder for thekind of pAvement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the Board <br />find that Hoban & Roach is the lowest and best bidder and hereby lets said contract <br />for said improvement to him and orders that said improvement be made with concrete <br />and. all proceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby confirmed and ratified. <br />Attested:- <br />Veronica C.
