Board met in regular session at 9:00 A.M. All members present. <br />George A. Davis Commissioner of.Buildinp;s appeared before the <br />Board with Mr. <br />19inley in regard to using an open stairway pm E. Jefferson. Street <br />under building <br />known as the Blackstone restaurant. The Board advised Mr. Davis <br />that they would make a trip of investigation in regard to this matter: <br />Bids were received as follows: - <br />Pavement on alley west of William Street from <br />Wayne,Street to. Division Street. <br />Bid of Hoban & Roach. <br />' <br />Grading per cu.•yd. $1.25 <br />Concrete pavement per sq. yd. 2.45 <br />Check $100.00 <br />Pipe sewer on Sibley Avenue from Brookfield <br />Street to Willer Street. <br />B id'of Hoban.& <br />Roach. <br />12 inch pipe sewer per lin ft. 2.80 <br />8 inch pipe sewer per lin ft. .80 <br />6 inch pipe sewer per lin ft. 1.00 <br />" Manholes per ft.... 7.50 <br />Manholes curbs and covers, each 20.00 <br />Storm water inlets, each 12.50 <br />Check-$100.00 <br />The above bids were referred to the City Engineer for tabluation <br />to be reported <br />on Wednesday October 18th., 1922.at 7:15 P.M. <br />Petition received read and placed on file .from Jones & Obenchain <br />Attorneys. To amend petition for opening of alley S. E. line of 1®t #6 in <br />Frans 2nd. Add. northwesterly by substituting in said petition for the wards <br />"20 feet northwest of the northwesterly of lot 5" the words about 20 feet southeast <br />of the- northwesterly line of let 5'" , <br />Partial estimate for pavement on South Michigan Street from <br />Donmoyer Avenue to City Limits allowed to H. N. Barnes at.......$169399.90 <br />The following easement was approved by the Board. <br />This Indenture Witn.esseth; That G. F. and Anne Wurster <br />and E. R. and>Mina R. Stoddard, of South Bend, Indiana, hereby give and grant unto <br />the City of South Budd, Indiana, the easement and right to erect.poles on,that <br />portion of their lands and lets which was formerly the First alley West of Main <br />Street and Calvert Street to the North line of the alley between Stover & Witwer's <br />Addition and Perley Lumber Company's Addition, more particularly described as <br />follows: - <br />Beginning at the intersection of the north <br />Line of Calvert Street and the West line of <br />Lot 17 Stover & Witwer's Addition, thence North to <br />the north line of the first alley North of Calvert <br />Street, thence West fourteen (14) feet to the <br />right-of-way of the Terre Haute and Logansport <br />Railroad, thence South along said right-of-way <br />` to the North line of Calvert Street, thence East <br />fourteen (Z4) feet to the place of beginning. <br />which said alley was vacated by Resolution of Vacation No. 65. <br />Witness our hands and seals this 11 day of Oetobervl922, <br />APPROVED, <br />Oct. 1791922. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />BY L.
