436., <br />Wednesday September 13th.m 1922. <br />Board meth in regular session at 7:19 P.M. all members Present. <br />Hearing -had on resolution for the paving of alley Bast of St. <br />Peter Street from Jefferson Blvd. to alley north of Jefferson Boulevard, under <br />Improvement Resolution No. 1046. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing Atty.,John Yeagley appeared and objected to <br />improvement, representing Mr. J. 011ier and Attorney Barry Scanlon appeared <br />for said improvement. Written remonstran ce filed was over -ruled by the $oard <br />and being fully advised in the premises,.decides that the benefits to property <br />liable to be assessed for said improvement°are equal to the estimated cost of <br />the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer ,,and thereupon -takes final <br />action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all <br />things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notides be published on the 14t,h. <br />day of September 1922 and on the 31st.0 day of September 1922 in the South Bend <br />Tribune and News Times, mewspapera of general circulation in said City, stating <br />thatâ–º this Board -will Deceive bids far the construction of said improvement up <br />until September 29th., 192 . The Board reserves the right to reject any and all <br />bids. <br />Hearing had on resolution for Pavement on alley west of Lafayette <br />Street from Maation Street to Madison Street, under Improvement Resolution No, <br />1056. In the City of South Barld, Indiana. <br />Upon sadd-hearing no remwnstrators appeared and no written remon- <br />strance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the promises, decides that <br />the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said -improvement are equal <br />to the estimated cost of the saute, as reported by the City Engineer, and there- <br />upon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same <br />are hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.`: <br />Resolved further, that notibes be published on the loth, day of <br />September 1922 and on the 21st., day of September 1922. in the South Bend Tribune <br />and News Times, neilspapers of genral circulation in said.City, stating that this <br />Board will getceive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M <br />Tuesday September 29th., 1922. The Board reserves the right to reject any and al <br />all bids. <br />Deferred hearing had on Vacation Resolution No. 63 for the Vacatin <br />of alley lying between lets 183 and 184 in the Original Plat of South Bend, <br />Indiana from Main Streette the first alley east of Main Street. <br />Property owners abutting on said alley appeared and objected to <br />vacation of this alley, the Board decided to defer all action on said alley <br />until Wednesday September 20th., 1922 at 7:15 P.M. <br />Deferred hearing had on Vacation Resolution No. 62 for the v40atin <br />of Grace Street Ford Street and alleys East of Arnold Street, in the City of Souk <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />The property owners appeared and hearing deferred until Wednesday <br />September 27th., 1922 at 7:15 P.M. <br />Heaaring had on assessment roll for grade, curb and walk on <br />Robinson Street from Lincoln Way East to Ewing Avenue under Improvement Resolutia <br />No. 926. In the City of South Bead, Indiana. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written rema <br />monstrance was filed.
