<br />STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVFMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1059.
<br />Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City;of South
<br />Bend, St. Joseph Country, State of Indiana, that it, is desired and deemed necessary
<br />to improve The alley Vilest of William Street from .Wayne Street, to Division Street
<br />as follows, to -wit: -
<br />Said alley shall be graded and the roadway thereof shall be
<br />paved, also the roadway of certain portions of'the streets and alleys which enter
<br />or intersect said alley shall be graded and paved. The having material to be used
<br />in making said improvement shall beSheet Asphalt, Bitlithic, Asphaltic concrete,
<br />Brick or Portland cement concrete seven (7) inches thick,, and the foundation shall
<br />be Portland cement oncrete Six (6) inches thick for the Sheet Asphalt, Bitlithic
<br />asphaltic concrete and brick, or rolled gravel six (6) inches thick for the brick,
<br />storm water inlets and conduits shall bp constructed where necessary; all storm
<br />water inlets and manhole tops shall be set to the proper grade; cement marginal
<br />curb shall be constructed at all dtreet and alley intersections where necessary
<br />all as is more particularly shown. and all in accordance with the plans, profiles,
<br />detail drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Deparrment of
<br />Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:

<br />Assessments of ten- dollars and more against each Iok if deferred, are to be, paid in ten equal s=unl tn-
<br />9ftllments, with interest at the rate of Ste per cent per annum. A bond or bonds will be issued to the con-
<br />tractor to the amount of such deferred.sssessments, ta pro rata payment for such impro►ement.
<br />Under no circumstances shall the city of south Bind be, or be held responsible for any sum or sums due
<br />front said property owner br owners for said work, or for the aollectibu of the same. or for the payment of any
<br />bond, bonds, certificate, -or esrtt�rates, issued to said c rtractor in payment 'or such work, exceRt for such
<br />moneys+as shall tmve actually been received by the City from the assessments for such improvement, or such
<br />moneys as said City is by said entitled Act- and amendment and supplements thereto required to pay. .All
