Concerning the improvement, od the roadway of Pa in Street from Hine Street to Linden Avenue with asphalt, as 4; : ; c ite, Mulithic, concrete or brick, in pirsuance to resolution No. 1Q09. lhetReafd finds that no petition Yeas been filed with said Board by a majority in number of the freeholders residing on said street to be improved, requesting th t it be improved with a different kind of pavement than the kind heretofore adopted by the Board $A its preliminary order; and the City Engineer reports that the Williston Construction Company is the lowest and best bidder for the kixid of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the ffioard find that the Williston Construction Company is the lowest and best bidder and hereby lets the contract for said improvement to;them, and orders that said improvement be made with Asphaltic Concrete using Mexican Asphalt and all proceedings heretofore had in this matter are here- by confirmed and approved BOARD OF PUBLIC 17ORKS. HONER ° Concerning the improvement, of the roadway of Carroll Street from Paris Street to Broadway with asphalt, asphaltif concrete, bitulithic, oncret,e or brick, in pursuance to Resolution No. 1010. the Board finds that no petition has been filed with said Board by a majority in number of the freeholders residing; on -said street o be improved, requesting' that it be improved with a di feerent kind of pavement than the kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its preliminary order; and -the City Engineer reports that the White Construction Co. is the lowest and best, bidder for thekind of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the Board find that the White Construction Co. is the lowest and hest bidder for tktxkiXdxV_fand hereby lets- the contract for said improvement to them, and orders that said improvement be made with Asphaltic coneete using Mexican asphalt and all proceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby confirmed and approved. -L. Pole and wire inspector reported as follows on light petitions. Pe-tition for light at the intersection of the alley s; between Columbia Street and Carroll Street and Bronson Street and South Street, no light necessary in this alley, `no'houset tuilt-to the alley. Report approved. Petition for large light at the corner of Cottage Grov,*F Ave me and Oak Street. Place an are light here on a 12 foot mast arm and remove small light. Report approved. The following resolutions were adopted byfthe Board. LOCAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1058. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, That the construction of a local sewer, intended and adapted onlu for local use by the property holders whose property abuts thereon, and no intended snit or adapted for receiving sewerage from collateral drains, be and the same is hereby ordered in and along Sibley Avenue from Brookfield Street to Wilber Street as follows, to -wit: - Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Brookfield Street and Sibley :Ava nne; thence east along the center line of Sibley Avenue from Brookfield Street::Nlber S.treeJA ,= s, to-�vit:� Beginning et the intersection of the center line of Brookfield Street and Sibley Avenue; thence east along hhe center line of Sibley Avenue to a point 50 feet west of the west &f line of College Street 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Also: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of College Street and Sibley Avenue; thence east along the center line of Sibley Avenue; to the center of Wilber Street with a 12 inch vitrified,pipe sewer, together with the necessary manholes, storm water inlets, conduits acid house connections to the curb line along the -fine of said improvement, all as is more particularly shown and all in accord- ance with the plans, profiles, detail drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
