<br />Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. R'r. L. P. Hardy absent.
<br />'Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1430 for pavement
<br />on Poland Street -from Webster Street to Walnut Street, in the City of South Bead,
<br />Indiana.
<br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a written zlemonstrance
<br />was filed. And the Board having heard all parties interested in said improvement '"
<br />ewer; -riled written remonstrance, and being fully advisees on the premises, decides that
<br />the benefits to property liable to be assessed for` said imrovement, are equal ,to the
<br />estimated cost of the same as reported byt the City Engineer, and thereupon takes
<br />final action on.said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all
<br />things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24th* day of
<br />February 19211 and on the 3rd, day of March 1923in the South Bend Nets Times and
<br />Tribune, newspapers of general circulation in said City and March 1st.9 1923 in the
<br />Indianapolis Star, stating that this Board will receive bids 'tor the con struction `of
<br />said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday March 13th., 192 The Board reserves
<br />the right to reject, any and all bids.
<br />Hearing had on resolution for pavement on Fassnacht, Avenue from
<br />Walnut Street to aohnson Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 1032. In the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Vpon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
<br />strance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the,premises,.decides that
<br />the benefits to property liable to the estimated cost of the same,a s reported by.the
<br />City Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said as originally adopted and the
<br />the same is hereby in all things ratified., confirmed and approved.
<br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24tho day of
<br />.--,February 1923 and March 3rd., 1923 in the South Bend Tribune and News Times in
<br />said City and Indianapolis Star, Indianapolks, Indiana on the 1st. day of March 1923,
<br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction,of said.improvements
<br />up to 10:00 A.M. on the 13th. day of March. 192Y. The Board reserves the righto
<br />reject any and all bids.
<br />Hearing had on resolution for pavement on Harrison Avenue
<br />from Lincoln Way West to California Avenue, under improvement Resolution No. 1033,
<br />In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a written remon-
<br />strance was filed. And the Board after hearing all parties interested, over -ruled
<br />said written remonstrance and being fully advised in the premises, decides that the
<br />benefits .to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the
<br />estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon
<br />takes final action on said resolution by modifying same to include the resurfiting
<br />of the intersection of Van Buren Street and Harrison Avenue and the same is hereby
<br />in all things,.ratified, confirmed and approved as modified.
<br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24tho day of
<br />February 1923 and on the 3rd. day of March 1923s ih the South Bend, Daily Tribune and
<br />News Times newspapers of general circulation in said City, and Indianapolis Star
<br />on the 1st, day of March 1923 stating that this Board will receive bids for the con-
<br />struction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. March 13th..9 1923. The Board reserves
<br />the right, to .eject any and all bids.
<br />Hearing had on improvement resolution No. 1035 for the 'pavement
<br />on alley South of Thomas Street from Chapin Street to Laurel Street, in the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana.
<br />IIpon said hearing remonstrators appeared and a wri tten remon-
<br />strance was filed The Board.after hearing all interested property owners present,
<br />sustained written remonstranet filed and hereby rescind all action on said resolution.

<br />benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the
<br />estimated cost, of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon

<br />in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
