shall include but not be limited to the following: <br />Visual inspection of the body, welds, and exterior attachments. <br />Visual and mechanical inspection of the heaterlair conditioning lines, cables, <br />grommets, valve connections, clamps, mounting brackets, belts, etc. <br />Visual inspection of cabinets, sliding/hinged cabinet doors, moldings, flooring, walls, <br />headliner, and cushions. <br />Visual inspection of exterior paint, decals, and lettering. <br />Operational inspection of all electrical systems. This must consist of tests of battery <br />voltage, electrical load tests, alternator output, beacons, flashers, siren, interior <br />lighting, compartment lighting, power exhaust vent, scene lights, load lights, chassis <br />lights, silent signal lights/buzzer, heat/cool unit, and any optional electrical devices as <br />furnished by the manufacturer. The current requirements of each device tested must <br />be noted on an inspection sheet together with the total current requirements. <br />The oxygen and vacuum systems shall be tested both prior to and after installation to <br />meet the requirements as listed in those individual sections of this specification. Test <br />data indicating temperature, pressure, timing, flow, etc., shall be recorded. <br />All chassis fluid levels shall be checked and filled to capacity. All doors, locks, <br />windows, tires, etc. shall be inspected for proper operation and/or condition. <br />The completed vehicle must be test driven a minimum of ten [10] miles on paved <br />highways and [3] miles on rough terrain to check handling, brakes, acceleration, and <br />noises. A water spray test and visual inspection shall be performed after the road <br />test. <br />Y ✓N <br />1.9 BID BOND REQUIREMFNT <br />All bidders are required to furnish a bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of <br />the total price of the proposal. The surety shall be in the form of a bond only. Any <br />surety in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or money order shall be <br />considered non -responsive and shall be cause for rejection of the bid proposal. <br />Y_14� <br />1.10 SINGLE BIDDER PER MANUFACTURER <br />Multiple bids from different manufacturers but represented by the same firm will not <br />be accepted. Bids offered directly from manufacturers shall indicate if a local dealer 1 <br />representative will be involved. <br />Alternate bids from the same bidder will be accepted (for example, entire vehicle <br />including chassis and without chassis), providing each bid has its own bid bond. <br />Alternate bids within the original bid will not be accepted. <br />Bids from the same manufacturer but different dealers will not be allowed to prevent <br />complimentary bids being offered and to ensure service from local dealer <br />representatives.
