CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Local service facility: Fire Service, Inc. <br />9545 Industrial Drive North <br />St. John, IN 46373 <br />24/7 Service assistance, phone number: 800-574-4281 <br />The driver and patient compartment control consoles shall be constructed in a way <br />that the switches and any gauges are easily serviced. They shall be accessible <br />through service panels. These panels will be secured in the closed position in a <br />positive manner, yet can be easily opened for service. <br />The control console gauges shall be internally illuminated and controlled by the <br />headlight switch rheostat. All lights and fixtures installed on the module exterior <br />shall have a corrosion inhibitor applied to all mounting holes prior to installation. <br />The driver and patient console shall incorporate full size "Euro-Style" rocker <br />switches. The switch assembly shall be 1.97 inches tall by 1.064 inches wide with <br />silver plated copper contacts and a .250 inch spade type terminal. The rocker <br />switch shall incorporate a LED indicator lamp and rated at 15 Amps continuous <br />service. The switch and rocker shall be of a thermo set molding material. The <br />complete switch assembly shall be designed to withstand one thousand (1,000) <br />volts RMS dielectric test. The switches shall have a positive "throw" feel and an <br />audible click upon activation and deactivation <br />The rocker switches, as described in section 4.1.3, shall have integrated label tens <br />area that is illuminated by two independent LED's. The LED brightness shall be <br />controlled by the headlight rheostat. The label shall be white legends on black <br />poly carbonate background. <br />The OEM throttle monitor shall be mounted in the primary manufacturer's <br />console. It shall be mounted to be easily accessible to the driver. <br />p'k,rj,r 11116 71[IX 04 <br />The electrical system shall incorporate a warning light panel in the driver's <br />console. It shall provide indicator lights for showing when a patient compartment <br />door(s), side and rear, are open. This shall be a flashing red LED light. There shall <br />be an exterior compartment "door open" warning light. This shall be a flashing <br />red LED light of the same size, <br />A battery indicator light shall be provided.
