PL Custom has been owned by <br />the Smock family since 1970 and currently operates as a successful independently owned <br />business with daily hands on management from the owners of the company. <br />PL Custom Body & Equipment Co., Inc. is a 100% American owned company, owned by Jean <br />S. Smock of 2,534 Mahogany Trail, Manasquan NJ 08736 <br />PL Custom Body & Equipment Company was incorporated in the State of New Jersey in <br />1970. Our business operates in an 1101,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with a recent 25,000 <br />building addition to support our growth needs. We are currently located at 2201 Atlantic Ave., <br />Manasquan, New Jersey and have been in this location since 1987. <br />PL Custom employs approximately 230 people and produces 170 ambulance vehicles, 16 <br />rescue vehicles and 24 Ambulance remounts and specialty conversion vehicles per year. We <br />enjoy a great deal of longevity in our employees; we have many employees with 43, 40, 35, <br />30, 25, 20 years of service.
