2019 International MV/PL Custom Titan 170 <br />Type I Ambulance Proposal Specification <br />DOOR POST SWITCHES ENTRANCE AND <br />COMPARTMENT DOORS: <br />Sealed door post switches shall be installed in all entrance and compartment doors. All switches shall be sealed from the <br />elements to prevent moisture damage and to prolong service life. The switches shall be warranted for lifetime of vehicle. <br />All door post switches shall activate the grounds of relays only. Under no circumstances shall the door post switch carry <br />more than 140 milliamp of electrical current. <br />CAB AND CHASSIS ELECTRICAL MODIFICATIONS <br />IGNITION ACTIVATED, MODULE DISCONNECT: <br />A high current disconnect device shall be installed per the requirements of KKK-A-1 822 to power all ambulance vehicle <br />conversion and modular body functions. The device shall be activated by the chassis ignition signal, and shall have a 5 <br />minute off delay for module functions when the chassis ignition switch is turned off <br />WATERPROOF DEUTSCH TYPE CONNECTORS: <br />Electrical connectors used on added circuits of less than 20 Amps under the chassis hood and the chassis fenders shall <br />be high quality, waterproof Deutsch type- Unsealed connectors in these areas are unacceptable. Sockets and pins shall <br />be machined type. Stamped contacts are unacceptable. <br />.RONT AND REAR SWITCH PANEL EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS <br />VOLTMETER: <br />An analog type voltmeter shall be installed within easy view of driver. The voltmeter shall be circuit breaker protected. <br />The use of digital voltmeters is unacceptable due to its difficulty to read at a glance. The voltmeter shall be tied to the <br />battery side of the master disconnect switch to allow a constant reading on the voltmeter when the switch is off. <br />LOW VOLTAGE ALARM* <br />A Low Voltage System with a dual indicator light greenlred shall be installed in the driver's console. The Green indicates <br />voltage system is above 11.8 volts. The Red shall indicate when system voltage drops below 11.8 volts for more than 2 <br />minutes and vehicle needs to reduce load. At that time an audible alarm will sound. The alarm will be provided with a <br />cancel switch to momentary silence the alarm. The red light will remain on both the switch legend and the indicator until <br />the system returns to 12.8 or above. <br />SWITCHES: <br />All switches shall be 12 volt two (2) or (3) position heavy duty Carling Contura V, Full size, Sealed Rocker switches. Each <br />switch shall have an integral pilot light which shall activate in the "On" position, including the Horn/Siren switch. The only <br />switches that shall not have a pilot light are momentary switches, where they are not available. No switch shall carry <br />more than one (1) Amp of power, (12 watts). <br />For ease of service and supporting a lifetime electrical warranty, all switches shall have a plug in connector on the bottom <br />of the switch contacts- <br />A4539-0001 <br />08124/18 <br />32 <br />
