2019 International MV/PL Custom Titan 170 <br />Type I Ambulance Proposal Specification <br />ffie bench shall have upholstered padded 3" thick seat cushions. The seat cushions shall be approximately 18" wide x <br />72" long. The lower cushion shall be removable and easily cleaned or replaced if damaged. The cushions shall be held to <br />the platform with #8 screw type mechanical fasteners, which is permanently attached to the underside of the cushion and <br />platform surface of the squad bench. The cushion/lid shall be held open and closed by two (2) gas spring hold opens and <br />hinged at the rear with full length piano hinges. The mounts for the gas spring shall be installed into reinforced areas <br />within the seat lid platform. <br />SQUAD BENCH BACKREST, FIXED: <br />The backrest shall be two (2) Valor seat backs with integrated 4 point harness system. Seating system is fully compliant <br />with Change Notice 8, SAE J3026. <br />CARGO NET HEAD OF SQUAD BENCH: <br />At the head of the squad bench there shall be a floor to ceiling (cargo style) net in place, The net will be secured to the <br />bench seat, ceiling and the side wall. The net is to be adjustable and must be able to be disconnected in the event a <br />patient needs to be removed from the side body entrance door. The net is designed to prevent seated personnel from <br />sliding off the bench into the step well or front bulkhead cabinet area. The net is certified to sustain a 2000 lbs load. <br />"D" BOTTLE STORAGE AT STEPWELL: <br />The step well of the vehicle shall be modified to extend under the right side platform. The recessed area shall provide a <br />storage location for two "D" size oxygen cylinders. <br />TIP -OUT TRASH BIN: <br />A Tip -out trash bin shall be provided under the squad bench cabinet, forward of wheel well. It shall be custom built into the <br />bench, provide a hinged tip -out door, and flush Southco Polished Stainless Steel latch to access a removable Rubbermaid <br />plastic trash pall which is mounted to the door, Trash bin shall tip into aisle toward the center of the vehicle. The trash bin <br />shall be designed to include an aluminum door laminated to match the interior cabinets. The trash bin shall be a totally <br />self-contained unit and be sealed on all sides to contain its contents during transit. <br />TIP -OUT SHARPS CONTAINER: <br />A Tip -out Sharps Container shall be provided within the squad bench base cabinet. It shall be custom built into the squad <br />bench and provide a hinged tip out door and flush Southco Polished Stainless Steel latch to access a disposable 8 qt, <br />Sharps Container, <br />OVERHEAD STORAGE ABOVE SQUAD BENCH WITH <br />RESTOCKING LIFT -UP CABINET DOOR: <br />Includes Austin Life Defender Lift Up Restocking Door, <br />An overhead storage cabinet shall be provided and installed in the area above the squad bench. The cabinet shall have <br />two (2) shelves, one on each side of the center support / divider. The interior cabinet shall be provided with a full framed <br />sliding transparent cabinet door which is also capable of lifting for full restocking access to the cabinet. The door shall be <br />held open with two gas springs and held closed with a positive slam latch that interacts with the striker in the event of an <br />impact. The frame shall be made of a custom designed aluminum extrusion and held together internally with corner <br />connectors and externally with a screwed in aluminum corner casting; glued or epoxied construction is unacceptable. The <br />doors are to be .220" polycarbonate material. The entire lower edge corner shall be padded to prevent sharp corners.
