Qualls. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT - Chief Lane present: <br /> The matter of regulating traffic at various intersections of the <br /> City during peak hours bettiveen 5:00 and 6:00 in the evening was . <br /> discussed tvith the Chief and he tiy�s reauested to statian officers at <br /> PRain and lk4onroe Streets, LaFayette and Pdonroe, LaFayette and South <br /> Streets and Pdain Gnd South Streets betvreen these hours to avoid <br /> congestion, particularly on i.�onroe Street an d also to see that double <br /> parking is eliminated beti:�een Py�ichigan and rliain and Monroe during <br /> this period. This decision vJas made based on recor,�nend�tion of <br /> Cit,y Traffic Eagineer Ernest L4iller. <br /> Traffic E��ineer I,�iller reported upon his investigation of a <br /> request filed with the City Council for � stop and go signal at the <br /> intersection of Portage Avenue, hn.gella, Blaine and Diatnond Avenues. <br /> His report is on file in the office o�' the Board of Public Safety <br /> indicating that the City is not justified in makin� this installation <br /> and he does not recommend it. Petitioners have been so notified. <br /> Traffic Engineer T�Ziller reported upon the reouest of Mrs. Fr�nk <br /> �^hitehall for a stop and go signal at Eddy and Pdadison Streets, <br /> recommending that it be not installed, as this signal was removed <br />
