After diacussing this matter with <br /> the Chief, it uas decided that: a capy be furnished each member of the <br /> Board for his investigation and consideration at a later meeting. <br /> A communication. was received from th� Association of Commerce <br /> enClosin� a ResoTution requesting the discontinuance o�' privileges <br /> per��tting the sale of Iottery chances on prizes, including motor <br /> vehicles and accessories on the City streets. This matter was referred <br /> to the City Attorn.ey and the Chief of Police for investigation and <br /> recommendation. <br /> The Chief requested authority from the Bo�ird to have the new <br /> officers who have assumed positions on- the Police Department since <br /> the last FiTSt-Aid Lessons were given the entire Police Force �also <br /> take lessons at this. time as soon as they can be arranged. The Board <br /> concurred in this and the Ch�ef" was gives proper authority. <br /> Offioers Stasinski .and Barcza repo�rted� an accident to Police� <br /> Car No. 13 in which Mrs.. Anna J'. Toth; R. R. 5, Box 342, ran into the <br /> rear of the police car . doing damage to� the estimated extent of �55.00. <br /> The Clerk of the Board v�as directed ta� inform this person and to <br /> collect for the damage. <br /> Renewal certificates covering suretsr bonds were approved i.n favor <br /> of police officers Fred DeLee, Albert Pope�-and Harold Vlhitmer. <br /> Resignativn of Mike Rzepka was submitted to the Board to take <br /> efPect July 15th. On regular motion seconded� and carried, this <br /> resignation was accepted. ` <br /> Resignation of PoI.ice Woman Min.nie E�rans was sub�itted to the <br /> Board to take ePfect August 15th, it being understood that the tvro <br /> weeks from August lst to 15th will be considergd as her vacation for <br /> this year. <br /> The Board appointed Elenor Louise Von Hoene as Police ti"�oman to <br /> take effect on August Ist, on a probationary period for six months, <br /> sub3ect to assignment by the Chief of Police. It being understood <br /> t2�at she work with the present Police Woman, Minnie Ev�.ns, from <br /> July lst to August lst without pay. <br /> Special poltce officers commission .�v�s-issued to Paul Hayes while <br /> Superintendent of the South Berid Park Department. <br /> Speci�l police _officers commission- was issued to Thomas M. <br /> Geraghty, who will drive for Fred Hamilton and assist him in his duties <br /> as merchant police. , <br /> The ChieP submitted �report of the aetivities of the Police Depart- <br /> ment for the month of June, which report is on file in the oPfice of <br /> the Board of Public Safety. <br /> The Traffic Bureau of the Police Department submitted its report <br /> for the month of June, shotving report of �aecictents and parking <br /> violations.
