� 121 � Communication_ was received frorn 0�'ficer Miller with reference to num.erous requests for loading zones, orange pain.t, _time limit restric- tions, etc. to prevent employees oP varzous� factories from parking all day in front oP business pl�.ces. After diacussing this matter with the Chief, it uas decided that: a capy be furnished each member of the Board for his investigation and consideration at a later meeting. A communication. was received from th� Association of Commerce enClosin� a ResoTution requesting the discontinuance o�' privileges per��tting the sale of Iottery chances on prizes, including motor vehicles and accessories on the City streets. This matter was referred to the City Attorn.ey and the Chief of Police for investigation and recommendation. The Chief requested authority from the Bo�ird to have the new officers who have assumed positions on- the Police Department since the last FiTSt-Aid Lessons were given the entire Police Force �also take lessons at this. time as soon as they can be arranged. The Board concurred in this and the Ch�ef" was gives proper authority. Offioers Stasinski .and Barcza repo�rted� an accident to Police� Car No. 13 in which Mrs.. Anna J'. Toth; R. R. 5, Box 342, ran into the rear of the police car . doing damage to� the estimated extent of �55.00. The Clerk of the Board v�as directed ta� inform this person and to collect for the damage. Renewal certificates covering suretsr bonds were approved i.n favor of police officers Fred DeLee, Albert Pope�-and Harold Vlhitmer. Resignativn of Mike Rzepka was submitted to the Board to take efPect July 15th. On regular motion seconded� and carried, this resignation was accepted. ` Resignation of PoI.ice Woman Min.nie E�rans was sub�itted to the Board to take ePfect August 15th, it being understood that the tvro weeks from August lst to 15th will be considergd as her vacation for this year. The Board appointed Elenor Louise Von Hoene as Police ti"�oman to take effect on August Ist, on a probationary period for six months, sub3ect to assignment by the Chief of Police. It being understood t2�at she work with the present Police Woman, Minnie Ev�.ns, from July lst to August lst without pay. Special poltce officers commission .�v�s-issued to Paul Hayes while Superintendent of the South Berid Park Department. Speci�l police _officers commission- was issued to Thomas M. Geraghty, who will drive for Fred Hamilton and assist him in his duties as merchant police. , The ChieP submitted �report of the aetivities of the Police Depart- ment for the month of June, which report is on file in the oPfice of the Board of Public Safety. The Traffic Bureau of the Police Department submitted its report for the month of June, shotving report of �aecictents and parking violations. A copy of this report was fl�rnished each member of the Board and is also on file in the office of the��Board of Public Safe��.
