The Board favored such an. arrange- <br /> nent and requested Mr. C�ualls to make up a schedule for f'urther <br /> consideration. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMF�iT - Chief Lane present: <br /> A representative of The Pie Shop, 202 East Washington Avenue, <br /> requested that certain� parking restrictions bs established in front of <br /> their place of business�. The�matter was referred to Officer E. H. <br /> �Iiller of the Traffic Bureau for investigation and report. <br /> The Chief reported that� police commission in favor oP Rocco Simeri <br /> had been recalled. and that his badge vJauld be returned by Mr. Simeri. <br /> personally. � <br /> The matter� of purchasing additional iron claws for the Po].ice <br /> Department was discussec� and �t v,�as decic�ed- t��purchase six sets at <br /> this time. - <br /> Regarding the eliminatian of parking on the north side of Colfax <br /> Avenue from the� east end of the bridge to Michigan Street, the Board <br /> decided to instruct�� the ChieP of Police to begin the execu-tion of this <br /> order at once. <br /> Officer P,lliller� reported upon the petition of A. A. Schellinger, <br /> manager of the Washingto�r-ColPax Apartments, who requested establish- <br /> ment of a loading zone on Colfag Avenue and on Washington Street in <br /> front of their entrances. Due to the fact that no signs are available, <br /> the Board felt that curb marki.ng, which is no�v established, should be <br /> enough to give the ocv�ers of the buildin� necessary parking restric- <br /> tions. - <br /> Officer r�iiller� called� attention to the new location of the Arcade <br /> Fruit Market. It is their desfre to �have fi�teen minute parking signs <br /> in front of their place of ��business; using those at their former <br /> gddress. Due to the faet that� signs� use�d° at the former address also <br /> served two other stores� at that location; Offic�r Miller recommended � <br /> that they be not moved: Officer Miller repnr�Ced that we have no <br />
