The golf course's move to <br />pay for capital improvements out of its own <br />funds means we don't have to make those <br />decisions. He commended the managers <br />there for making those changes. It is a very <br />business-like way for them to operate. <br />B. Tax Abatements <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2415 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />in the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Development Area. (918 N. St. Peter) <br />Mr. Mathia gave the staff report on the <br />residential tax abatement. Brian and Allison <br />Levey intend to construct a 2,200 square <br />foot, 2-story home with a three car garage. <br />Plans call for the home to have three <br />bedrooms, three bathrooms and an open front <br />porch, stone patio and a full finished <br />basement. The structure that is currently on <br />the property will be demolished. The price of <br />the home is $325,000. Total taxes to be <br />abated during the five-year abatement period <br />are estimated at $10,262. Total taxes to be <br />paid during the five-year abatement period <br />are estimated to be $23,760. The property is <br />properly zoned for the proposed use. The <br />property is located in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area, therefore <br />approval of the abatement petition by the <br />Redevelopment Commission is required.
