2� � <br /> A oommunication from the iyiayor vras submitted to the Board, in <br /> which he desi�nated a number of police officers who had served as <br /> such for twenty years or more and are entitled to pension benefits. <br /> He further stated that on account of their age and o�her possible <br /> deficiencies these officers should be required to take a physical <br /> examination to ascertain if they are still qualified as efficient <br /> police officers. It vras regularly moved, seconded and cnrried that <br /> this physical examination be ordered and that the Chief notify the <br /> individuals to be examined this �veek, so that a complete report can <br /> be presented to the Board at its next meeting on iionday, July 13th. <br /> The officers vrho were so notified are as follows: i:2ichael Rzepka, <br /> Valentine Delinski, Fred DeLee, Frank �lendo��ski , Samuel Koczorowski , <br /> Ydilliam rJcMahon, Axel B. Tholander, Tustus C. Bloom, Frank Ferger <br /> and Carl 1�uinther. <br /> The Chief presented a communication signed by Patrick Burns <br /> of the Accident Prevention Bureau, calling attention to the fact <br /> that two people �aere killed and seventeen injured at Ironvaood Urive� <br /> and Pv;eKinley �venue and su�gesting that a flasher caarning si�nal <br /> be erected at this intersection. The matter �ras referred to <br /> �:ir. C�ualls. <br /> The Chief presented a communication from Ernest h. P�iiller of <br /> the Accident Investigation Bureau in regard to underpass abutments <br /> in the city and he recommended that at Bronson and T�ichigan Streets <br /> and at �yestern and 6'ralnut Streets serious accidents have happened <br /> and that he vlould suggest illuminators be installed at these t�ao <br /> locations. The matter r�as referred to Itir. �,ualls �'or investigation <br /> - and recommendation. <br /> . �egarding petition for restriction of parking on East ti'�enger <br /> Street in the 700 block, vrhich was referred to the Chief of Police, <br /> a report tivas made by Captain Olmstead in vzhieh he states that this <br /> street from P:Zarietta to High Street is very narroti� and a very bad <br /> situaticn exists since cars are parked on both sides and it leaves - <br /> room only for one car to pass betti�een them. He reports that <br /> arrange�ents have been made to eliminate parking on the north side <br /> of �lenger Street in tYie 700 block. <br /> The Chief presented a report of Francis J. Bock, Chief Radio <br /> Operator, of the activities and broadcasts of the Radio Station <br /> for the month of June. <br /> Report also �las subr�itted by the Chief of the Auto lletail, <br /> sho��;ing automobiles stolen and recovered and other activities of <br /> this department for the month of June. <br /> The Chief also presented a detailed report of the activities <br /> of the Police Department f or the month of June. <br /> AI.1 above reports are on file in the office of the Board of <br /> Public Safety. <br /> Con�inuation certificates covering poliee bonds in Pavor of <br /> Harold 0.
