� 23 <br /> police officers were approved by the Board and placed on file: <br /> Arden M. Kline, B��ichael Gresezyk, John Stasinski , Robert Watt, <br /> Paul NZcCarroll and �rnest F. Busch. <br /> �pplication for position on the Police Department was received <br /> from Ernest Ii. Miller. Physieal examination by the Police Surgeon <br /> shovved a favorable report and he recommended him f or duty on the <br /> department. After carefully analyzing the applieation and the Board <br /> finding that b'Ir. r�iller's �reight vras less than they required in the <br /> application, namely; 160 lbs. , he v�eighing t�velve pounds less than <br /> this, the Board upon regular motion made by Btlrr. Anderson, seconded <br /> by &Zr. ��oodrvard and carried decided to waive the weight requirement <br /> in this partieular case, due to the speeific duties to which this <br /> officer would be assigned, his duties being of an engineering nature <br /> in .connection �rith a recently organized Acaident Prevention Bureau. <br /> ��r. Miller was appointed to duty eff ective J'une 8th, subject to <br /> re�;ular requirement of six months probation and assi�nment by the <br /> Chief oP Police. <br /> The matter of street marker ti�as brought up and the Secretary <br /> submitted a proposition from the G. ��. Spiess Equipment Company <br /> together with literature in �rhich the City was oPPered a marker at <br /> a price of :�390.00 delivered. Instructions were given to <br /> investigate the matter further and to secure prices from other <br /> manufacturers of like equipment to be submitted to the Board at a <br /> later meeting. Also that the Secretary investigate the aecount to <br /> which such a purchase can properly be charged without endangering <br /> budget limitations. <br /> The meeting ad�ourned at 11: 30 A. . <br /> , <br /> G���� - <br /> Chai man <br /> ATTEST• Clerk <br /> SPECIAL I�EETING June 10. 1936 <br /> Special meeting of the Board of Public Safety vr�as held on <br /> �lednesday, June 10, 1936, at 3 P. Burns f'or salary from January lst to June 15th, 1936, <br /> and to continue ldr.
