Rice absent. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 407 for Pavement on Keasey Street from <br />.,"Michigan Street to Carrell Street, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing aemonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance was filed. <br />And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits toproperty <br />liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, <br />as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupin takes final action on said resolu- <br />tion as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed <br />and approved. <br />Re }� olved further that notices be.publiehed on the lst. day of March,1916 <br />and on the�$th. day of March,1916. in a newspaper of general ciroulatiob in said City, <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improveme-Its up <br />to 10:00 A:M on the 28th. day of Yarch,1916• The Board reserves the right to reject <br />any and all bids. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 409 for eurh add walk on:Ford St. <br />from Arnold Street to Oliverts fence, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to pro- <br />perty liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of <br />the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action <br />on said resolution, as originally adopted, and the sane is hereby in all things rati- <br />fied confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that. notices be published on the 30th. day of September <br />1915 and on the 7th. day of Oetober,1915 in a newspaper of general circulation in said <br />City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improve- <br />ment up to 10: 00 A.M. on the 19th. day of O ctobe r,1915. The Board reserves th r right <br />reelect any and all bids. <br />Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 40 for the appeopriation of <br />✓ a strip of land for the Opening of Carroll Street from Lake...Shore a --id Michigan <br />Southern By. right of way to Tutt Street, In the City of South Bead, Indiana. <br />In the above matter the following property owners appeared and remon- <br />strated against said opening, Atty. Baker for the Birdsell Mfg, Co. Atty. Dinnen, <br />Supt. Stith and Agt. Potter for the New York Central Ry. Company, Fabric Roll Pro- <br />tector Company etc., and a written remonstrance was filed with the Board. The Board <br />after having said matter under advisement decided to rescind the above mentioned <br />resolution for said opening of Carroll Street. <br />Mr. Brown appeared before the Board in regard to fence in alle)r between <br />Lafayette Street and Park Avenue, and the City Civil Engineer made the fb llowing <br />report to the Board. <br />To the Henora{le Board <br />of Public 'Works <br />City <br />Gentlemen: - <br />I have investigated Mr. Brown's complaint in regard to Mrs. Sibley+s.
