RESOLUTION <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA, <br /> SUPPORTING THE APPROPRIATION OF$179,1411 FOR THE CREATION OF THE MINORITY <br /> AND WOMEN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN SOUTH BEND INDIANA <br /> fostering new business start-ups and commercializing more of the technologies <br /> coming out of the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University South Bend is an enhanced <br /> focus of community leaders;and <br /> CW" the South Bend Common Council aims to maximize participation and <br /> opportunities in the City of South Bend by facilitating networking, outreach, communication, <br /> education,training, internal accountability and employment opportunities for all of the residents of <br /> South Bend,Indiana; and <br /> G the South Bend Common Council embraces programs designed to be pro-active, <br /> fair and a reasonable mechanism;and <br /> the South Bend Common Council believes such programs to be reasonable,and in <br /> the best interest of our City. <br /> t?�era, G>' lro aC+ yar �r die�aeie+e:ase�ytdse o�c�°.auexd, C�wdsa�a,as <br /> follows: <br /> Section I. The South Bend Common Council recognizes Sallie and Associates for the <br /> document entitled "A Proposal for the Creation of Minority and Women Business Development <br /> Program(MWBD)in South Bend,Indiana". <br /> Section 11. It is hereby found that financing the MWBD Program is in the economic interest <br /> of the City of South Bend,Indiana. <br /> Section III. The MWBD Program will enhance the growth and expansion of minority and <br /> women-owned business enterprises in South Bend, Indiana, and will enhance the quality of life of <br /> all city residents. <br /> Section IV. Upon the adoption of the resolution by the South Bend Common Council the <br /> potential source(s) of revenues to fund the program will be discussed by the Council and the City <br /> Administration; and the Director of Public Works and the City Controller will be consulted on <br /> vendor/supplier for the program. <br /> Section V.
