South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br /> Regular Meeting—September 13, 2011 <br /> 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br /> B. South Bend Central Development Area <br /> (2) Staff report on Redevelopment Retail <br /> revised 2011 budget. <br /> Ms. Jennings noted that Redevelopment <br /> Retail has incurred additional expenses not <br /> appropriated in the original 2011 budget. <br /> Expenses such as $4,300 for build-out of <br /> Brunos, $2,261 for the Pop-Up Holiday <br /> Shops, program $2,000 to clean out the State <br /> Cafe for Vesiuvio Pizza. The HVC System <br /> in the kitchen at the former State Cafe has <br /> gone out which will cost and additional <br /> $14,000 to replace. Staff is requesting <br /> approval to set a public hearing for 4:00 p.m., <br /> October 25, 2011, on a revised 2011 budget <br /> for the Redevelopment Retail, also known as <br /> the Michigan Street Shops. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION AUTHORIZED ADVERTISING FOR A <br /> Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the PUBLIC HEARING FOR OCTOBER 25,2011,ON <br /> Commission authorized advertising for a THE REVISED 2011 BUDGET FOR <br /> REDEVELOPMENT RETAIL <br /> public hearing for October 25, 2011, on the <br /> revised 2011 budget for Redevelopment <br /> Retail. <br /> (3) Proposal for Phase 11 Environmental <br /> Assessment of former Troeger Sheet Metal <br /> site at northeast Jefferson and Niles <br /> Streets. <br /> Mr. Relos noted that staff solicited a proposal <br /> from Wightman Petrie Inc. for a Phase II site <br /> assessment at the former Troeger Sheet <br /> Metal site at Jefferson&Niles. The site is <br /> bounded by Washington, Niles Ave., <br /> Jefferson and a north/south alley. <br /> In 2010 the Commission had a Phase I <br /> 8 <br />
