ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $95,000 FROM GENERAL FUND #101 TO <br /> PURCHASE AND SPECIALLY EQUIP FOUR(4) POLICE VEHICLES <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The South Bend Police Department is in need of four (4) vehicles replacing <br /> vehicles damaged by third party events where such damages have been reimbursed to the <br /> city by third party insurance carriers. The third party insurance carrier reimbursements <br /> have accumulated in the General Fund #101 over the last twenty-four (24) months, and <br /> such accumulated monies will be used to fund the acquisition of the vehicles. The sum of <br /> $95,000 should therefore be appropriated to purchase and equip the replacement vehicles. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows: <br /> Section I. The sum of$95,000.0.0 is hereby appropriated and set aside within <br /> General Fund 4101 to purchase four(4) vehicles and equip said vehicles appropriately for <br /> the specific use and specific needs of the City of South Bend Police Department. <br /> Section II.
