1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 17, 2011 43 <br />K -9 on February 19, 1997. In 1999 he transferred back to the Uniform Division and in 200 he <br />became a member of the SWAT team. On February 16, 2005 he was promoted to the rank of <br />lieutenant and on February 21, 2005 he transferred to what is now the Street Crimes Unit. Chief <br />Boykins pinned his badge on him and the Board congratulated Mr. Ruszkowski on his promotion. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY STATISTICAL ANALYSIS REPORT — JULY 2011 <br />Mr. Cottrell indicated that unless there were questions or objections by members of the Board, the <br />statistical analysis report for the month of July, 2011, as submitted by the Police Department, would <br />be accepted for filing. Chief Boykins stated in his letter, that Patrolman Nowicki <br />was sworn on the South Bend Police Department on June 30, 1993. Upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Vasquez, seconded by Mr. Miller and carried, the resignation was accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT - WEED AND SEED ALLIANCE INC. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Vasquez, seconded by Mr. Miller and carried, the Service Agreement with <br />the Weed and Seed Alliance, Inc. to pay for the cost of providing twelve (12) interns to the Park <br />Department to help remove graffiti was approved. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />FILING OF MONTHLY STATISTICAL ANALYSIS REPORT — JULY 2011 <br />Chief Howard Buchanon submitted to the Board the monthly report for the month of July 2011 <br />compiled by the Prevention/Inspection Bureau of the Fire Department.
