2. Equipment is being ordered from capital funds. A greens mower, a tractor, two utility <br />carts and concessions equipment are planned. <br />3. Improvements in the operations at Erskine are underway. Problems with people not <br />paying and alcohol being brought on the course are being addressed. Mr. Goodrich <br />suggested the rangers be used to address these problems. <br />4. Improvements at Elbel holes #4 and 6 are coming along well. <br />X. Comments by Maintenance Superintendent <br />1. Mr. Dyszkiewicz reported that the O'Brien sign on Michigan St. is being mo~~ed due to <br />the widening of the roadway. <br />2. Fences at ball diamonds are being repaired. <br />3. Mowing has started in the parks. <br />4. Water is being turned on in parks. <br />5. A pavilion in LaSalle park will be constructed by Kaser-Spral:er using Weed `n Seed <br />monies this spring. <br />6. Splash pads will be constructed this summer at O'Brien and King Centers. <br />7. Vendors will be solicited for quotes for asphalt repairs on tennis, and basketball courts and <br />parking lots. <br />XL Comments by the Special Projects n~Ianager <br />1. Mr. Moyers reported that the Marl:etin~ and Promotions Division is working with the <br />Silver Hawks on promotions at sixteen home games. Park representatives will be at home <br />games. June 5 is South BendParl:s and Recreation Day at the Cove. <br />2. There were thirty-three ~-~endors at the recent O'Brien Campfair. <br />3. The activity guide is being printed and will be delivered Apri123. <br />4. We are currently workin~~ ~~~ifh the Botanical Society on upcoming events. <br />XII.
