Mr. Goodrich made a motion to stating that the East Race Sector building at 126 Niles <br />Avenue is no longer needed on a short term basis and that the Board approves advertising <br />for lease proposals for the building to be received by the Board before the next meeting <br />for consideration at the May meeting. Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it was passed. <br />III. The next order of business was unfinished business. <br />1. Award of Chemical and Fertilizer Bid Recommendations- Randy Nowacki <br />Mr. Nowacki requested that the bids be awarded to the lowest and most responsi~-~e <br />bidders for each product. <br />Dr. Kelly moved that the chemical and fertilizer be awarded as recommended by staff for <br />the present year. Mr. Goodrich seconded the motion and it was passed. <br />IV. The next order of business was new business. <br />Opening of Quotes for Architectural Services for Leeper Tennis Center Project- Mike <br />Dyszkiewicz <br />Mr. Dyszkiewicz presented three quotes for architectural services for the Leeper Park <br />Tennis center project. They were opened and read alo~id. They were: <br />a. Kit Architecture- $25,500 <br />b. Lehman and Lehman- $36,700 <br />c. Sitescapes, Inc.- $22,600 <br />All were "not to exceed" quotes. Mr. Dyszkiewicz asked the Board to be able to review <br />the quotes and return with a recommendation for the most responsive, qualified bidder. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to refer the quotes to staff for recommendation and return to <br />the Board for action on the reconmiendation.. Mr. Mullins seconded the motion and it <br />was passed. <br />2. Arborist License Renewals- <br />The followin~~ license application was presented for approval by the Board: <br />a. Kachur Tree Service <br />b. Marl: Temple Tree Service <br />c. Peehs's Tree Experts <br />Dr. Kelly made a motion to accept the renewals of the Arborist Licenses and Mr. <br />Goodrich seconded the motion. It was passed <br />3. Preliminary Request for Use of Parks <br />a. Conservatory/Greenhouses for Black Tie Event- June 2007 <br />Mr. Chris Kohut of The Scene magazine came to the Board to explain his request to use <br />the Conservatories for a black tie event at the end of June. It would be a fundraiser for <br />the Conservatory/Greenhouses. There will be alcohol served at the event. He said they <br />would address the issues of insurance and licensing. <br />--2-- <br />
