Ewing Development Area; South Bend Central Development Area; South Bend <br />ILI Chocolate Caf6; St. Joseph County Jail; State Theater; Stephenson Mill Apartments; <br />Sales Tax Increment Finance District ( "STIF "); Studebaker National Museum; <br />Studebaker /Oliver Redevelopment Strategy; Studebaker Corridor - Transwestern, <br />Avanti, Standard Surplus; Studebaker Parts; Teachers Credit Union; Tech Data <br />Corporation; Tax Increment Finance ( "TIF "); Tire Rack; Urban Enterprise <br />Zone/Urban Enterprise Association; West Washington Chapin Revitalization; West <br />Washington Homes; and YWCA <br />WHEREAS, Jon loved the challenge of "not a simple project" and finding a "win/win" <br />outcome whenever possible nearly as much as he loved baseball (the Cubs) and lawyer j okes and the <br />music that filled his office; and <br />WHEREAS, Jon was an ardent supporter of the arts and, in particular, the arts in the <br />community; and <br />WHEREAS, Jon dedicated himself to making South Bend a better place to live and work <br />and improving the quality of life for all its residents. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission that: <br />1. The Commission hereby p ublically commemorates the late Jon R. Hunt for his <br />unselfish dedication and for his many contributions and services to the City of South <br />Bend. <br />2. The Commission hereby endorses and supports the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Authority's determination to rename and rededicate the Morris Civic Plaza as the <br />"Jon R. Hunt Plaza" in honor of Jon and in tribute to his memory and his many <br />valuable contributions to South Bend. <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption. <br />ADOPTED at a meeting of theSouth Bend Redevelopment Commission held on August 20, 2004, <br />at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601. <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVE PMENT COMMISSION <br />Marcia I.
