NEW BUSINESS <br /> (A) Airport Economic DevelopmentArea <br /> (3) continued... <br /> Mr. Relos noted that once the Commission <br /> has acquired enough properties in this area, <br /> they will be made part of the Ignition Park <br /> PUD and formally a part of Ignition Park. <br /> Staff requests approval of Resolution <br /> No. 2854. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION No.2854 <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br /> Commission approved Resolution No. 2854 FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND.(TWENTY-ONE <br /> PROPERTIES IN THE IGNITION PARK SOUTH <br /> accepting the transfer of real property from EXPANSION AREA) <br /> the City of South Bend. (Twenty-one <br /> properties in the Ignition Park south <br /> expansion area) <br /> (4) Proposal for legal services related to <br /> acquisition of property from 2010 County <br /> Commissioners' tax sale. <br /> Mr. Relos noted that at the March 2010 <br /> County Commissioner's tax sale, staff <br /> acquired 30 parcels. Seven of these parcels <br /> were redeemed within the legal redemption <br /> period, leaving 23 parcels which the <br /> Commission now has title to in the form of <br /> tax deeds. <br /> On March 19, 2010, the Commission <br /> approved a Professional Services Agreement <br /> with Heppenheimer& Korpal, to perform <br /> title searches on, and provide statutory <br /> notices to, the owners and persons of interest <br /> of the parcels acquired at tax sale, in addition <br /> to prepare and file with the Court the Petition <br /> for Tax Title Deed and ultimately securing <br /> such deeds. The cost of this work was $500 <br /> 21 <br />
