South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting—March 8, 2011
6. NEW BUSINESS
(A) Airport Economic DevelopmentArea
(1) continued...
The proposed bid is for $22,000 for a 4.39
acre portion of Oliver Industrial Park Lot#8
(7.84 acres). This lot borders the west side of
Chapin Street at the entrance of the park.
Staff continues to work closely with
Holladay Properties to develop a facade and
building design that is consistent with the
guidelines set forth for the park and
surrounding area.
Staff requests approval of the proposal and
authorization to prepare a Contract for Sale
of Land.
Mr. Varner questioned amount of acreage
with Mr. Sikora reiterating that it is the 4.39
acre portion of the 7.84 site. Mr. Phair
clarified that at the time the site had not been
subdivided. Mr. Gibney added that the land
has been available for a long time. This
summer is going to be a good summer with
people moving down that corridor because
there's buildings going up, the Kroc's going
up, the new gateway to Oliver Park,
underground pipe involves coming down so
that is going to be a construction demolition
so it's hoped to get more inquires with the
construction theme.
Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED BID PROPOSAL FROM
Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the ABC SUPPLY/OLIVER PLOW PARTNERS FOR
Commission approved bid proposal from $22,000 FOR A 4.39 ACRE PORTION TO PREPARE
CONTRACT FOR SALE
ABC Supply/Oliver Plow Partners for
$22,000 for a 4.39 acre portion to prepare
contract for sale.
14
