Public Hearing <br />() continued... <br />published in that newspaper on August 1 1, <br />2006; (4) an affidavit from the Tri-County <br />News that the Notice of Hearing was <br />published in that newspaper on August 1 1, <br />2006; (5) a statement from Nicholas Witwer <br />that a copy of the Notice of Hearing was sent <br />to affected property owners and registered <br />neighborhood associations on August 1 1, <br />2006; (6) a statement from Nicholas Witwer <br />that he sent a copy of the Notice of Hearing <br />to affected taxing jurisdictions on August 1 1, <br />2006; (7) as of 10:00 a.m., August 25, 2006 <br />there were 3 written remonstrances <br />received related to Resolution No. 2254. <br />Mr. Inks noted that Resolution No. 2254 <br />expands the Airport Economic Development <br />Area and TIF Allocation Area No. 1 and will <br />amend the Development Plan by adding one <br />property to the Acquisition List. The parcel <br />to be added to the Acquisition List is located <br />at 23464 Adams Rd. It will be used as right- <br />ofway for the extension of Dylan Drive. <br />This will be Expansion Area No. 21 to the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. The <br />expansion meets several goals of the Airport <br />Economic Development Plan, as well as <br />being consistent with the land use as <br />indicated in the South Bend and St. Joseph <br />County Comprehensive Plan. <br />Ms. Greene noted that under I.C. 36-7-14- <br />17.5,the Commission must conduct a Public <br />Hearing when amending a development plan. <br />Notice of the Hearing must be provided in <br />accordance with I.C. 5-3-1, which has been <br />7 <br />
