South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -August 25, 2006 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearing <br />() continued... <br />Mr. King acknowledged the large number of <br />people in attendance for the Public Hearing <br />on Resolution No. 2254. He noted that the <br />Redevelopment Commission's public <br />hearings are conducted according to the same <br />procedures that apply to public hearings <br />before the South Bend Common Council as <br />set forth in South Bend Municipal Code <br />Section 2-11. The following is a summary of <br />those procedures. <br />1. A member of the Redevelopment <br />Department staff will read each resolution by <br />title only. <br />2. A formal presentation on the resolution <br />will be made, which is not subject to a time <br />limitation. <br />3. Commission members may ask <br />preliminary questions of the presenter <br />immediately following the close of the <br />formal presentation on the resolution. <br />4. Members of the public supporting the <br />resolution shall have the opportunity to <br />address the Commission <br />a. Each member of the public shall be <br />required to state his or her name and <br />residential address, and <br />b. Each member of the public speaking <br />in favor of the resolution shall be limited <br />to 5 minutes for his or her presentation. <br />5. Members of the public opposing the <br />resolution shall have the opportunity to <br />address the Commission. <br />a.
