Public Hearing <br />continued... <br />is required to make the following findings <br />before approving the amendment: (1) The <br />amendment is reasonable and appropriate <br />when considered in relation to the original <br />resolution, plan and purposes ofI.C. 36-7-14, <br />and (2) The resolution or plan, with the <br />proposed amendment, conforms to the <br />comprehensive plan for the City. Resolution <br />No. 2250 includes this language and, <br />accordingly, adoption of Resolution <br />No. 2250 by the Commission would satisfy <br />the requirements of the statute. In addition, <br />the Commission is required to consider any <br />written remonstrances that are filed during <br />the filing period specified in the notice. <br />Ms. Jones opened the Public Hearing for PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION N0.2250 <br />whoever wished to speak regarding <br />Resolution No. 2250. <br />RICHARD NUSSBAUM II: Attorney, 210 <br />S. Michigan St. I am pleased to be here to <br />speak in favor of this resolution as counsel <br />for the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Revitalization Organization. Approximately <br />three years ago this Commission adopted the <br />plan for the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Development Area. That was a very <br />important step in the process that has taken <br />place with regard to our neighborhood and <br />our organization in that it put down in <br />writing some of the goals and objectives that <br />we were trying to accomplish. One of those <br />was to encourage development of the area. <br />We were pleased to work with the South <br />Bend Clinic in their project which is a <br />7 <br />
