South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -July 21, 2006 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing <br />(1) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2250 <br />expanding the boundaries and amending <br />the Development Plan of the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />Mr. Schalliol explained that Resolution <br />No. 2250 amends the boundaries of the <br />Northeast Neighborhood Development Area, <br />creates Expansion Area No. 1, and expands <br />the Northeast Neighborhood Allocation Area <br />No. l to have the same boundary. The <br />purpose of the expansion is to add the South <br />Bend Clinic and adjacent property to the <br />development area. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the Public Hearing file is <br />complete, containing the (1) Notice of <br />Hearing; (2) a copy of Resolution No. 2250; <br />(3) an affidavit from Carol Smith, <br />Advertising Director of the South Bend <br />Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing was <br />published in that newspaper on July 7, 2006; <br />(4) an affidavit from Richard Andrysiak, <br />Classified Manager of the Tri-County News, <br />that the Notice of Hearing was published in <br />that newspaper on July 7, 2006; (5) a <br />statement from Bill Schalliol that affected <br />property owners and registered neighborhood <br />associations were notified of the Public <br />Hearing by a memo sent on July 7, 2006; <br />There were 0 written remonstrances <br />received related to Resolution No. 2250. <br />Ms. Greene noted that under I.C. 36-7-14- <br />17.5,the Commission is not required to have <br />evidence or make findings that were required <br />for the establishment of the original <br />development area.
