South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - February 02, 2001 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />e. Commission approval requested for <br />professional Architectural Services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Palais Royale Ventilation Feasibility <br />Analysis) <br />Mr. Giulioni explained that staff has been <br />working with representatives of the Harp & <br />Thistle Pub to further define terms of an <br />agreement to allow them to lease area #I in the <br />Palais Royale Retail Space. He noted that <br />before the terms can be further defined, it is <br />necessary to have an evaluation of how the <br />space will be heated, cooled and vented. Mr. <br />Giulioni stated that staff has received one <br />proposal from Kessler Francis Cardoza <br />Architectures in the amount of $22,000. <br />Ms. Green pointed out that on page five of the <br />proposal, item #a is a Late Payment clause that <br />states that a monthly finance charge of 1% (12% <br />annually) will be charged on amounts not paid <br />30 days after the invoice date. She noted that <br />the clause should be omitted from the proposal. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal for <br />professional architectural services in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area with the <br />stipulation that item #A on page 5, the Late <br />Payment clause, be omitted from the proposal. <br />(Palais Royale Ventilation Feasibility Analysis) <br />in <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL <br />SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA WITH THE <br />STIPULATION THAT ITEM #A ON PAGE 5, THE <br />LATE PAYMENT CLAUSE, BE OMITTED FROM <br />THE PROPOSAL (PALAIS ROYALE <br />VENTILATION FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS) <br />
