South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - April 20, 2001 <br />3. CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by <br />Mr. Caldwell and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Claims submitted April <br />20, 2001, and ordered the checks to be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Public Hearing on Resolution No. 1831 a <br />resolution of the City of South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission amending the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />Development Plan. <br />Mr. Inks noted that Resolution No. 1831 will add <br />the former Huckins Tool & Die site to the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area acquisition <br />list. He stated that the Public Hearing file is <br />complete and contains a copy of the resolution, <br />the notices and affidavits from the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri- County News, copies of the <br />letters sent to the Neighborhood Associations and <br />to the property owner. There were no <br />remonstrances received. <br />Mr. Laurent reported that the former Huckins <br />Tool & Die facility is approximately 2 acres and <br />is the first piece of property to be acquired in the <br />Studebaker /Oliver redevelopment plan. The <br />property will eventually be an 82 acre light <br />industrial park in addition to a 36 acre park on <br />-3- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS <br />SUBMITTED APRIL 20, 2001, AND ORDERED <br />THE CHECKS TO BE RELEASED <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />
