South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —July 6, 2001 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by Mr <br />Faccenda and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Claims submitted <br />July 6, 2001, and ordered the checks to be <br />released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />low a. Commission approval requested for a <br />Contract with Zevnik Horton for <br />professional services in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mr. Rock requested that item 6.a. be tabled. <br />There was no objection and the item was tabled. <br />b. Review of Billboard Applications in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area and the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. (Jones <br />Obenchain, LLP) <br />Ms. Greene explained that the applicant has <br />been advised that upon review by the Legal <br />Department it has been determined that the <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission does <br />not have jurisdiction over the appeals process <br />related to the two signs that are located in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />Investigations are continuing with respect to the <br />Commission's jurisdiction over sign appeals in <br />the Sample -Ewing Development Area; <br />3 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS SUBMITTED <br />JULY 6, 2001, AND ORDERED THE CHECKS TO BE <br />RELEASED. <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS. <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS. <br />ITEM 6.A. WAS TABLED. <br />COMMISSION DOES NOT HAVE JURISDICTION <br />OVER THE APPEALS PROCESS RELATED TO SIGNS <br />LOCATED IN THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA.
