South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— December 21, 2001 <br />vacating parts of Western and Columbia Streets and <br />major infrastructure improvements. This led to <br />Crowe Chizek investing $10 million in the area, a <br />new building is currently under construction and <br />150 new jobs; began work on a development plan <br />for the East Bank area; worked with Press Ganey to <br />keep them in the downtown area resulting in $2.5 <br />million in private investment and 190 new jobs; <br />worked with Billies Catering to keep them in the <br />Wayne St. Garage retail space; worked with EHL to <br />stay in town and expand their campus which is <br />currently underway. <br />8. NEXT COMMISSION MEETING <br />The next meeting of the Redevelopment <br />Commission is its Annual Organizational Meeting <br />which will be held on January 2, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. <br />vo A Special Meeting will be held on January 2 after <br />the Organizational Meeting to conduct regular <br />business. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT <br />PROGRESS REPORTS <br />NEXT COMMISSION MEETING <br />There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT <br />Redevelopment Commission, Ms. Jones made a <br />motion that the meeting be adjourned.
