Ms. Jones closed the public hearing <br />for whatever action the Commission wished <br />to take. <br />(6) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1868. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1868, <br />a resolution of the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission, appropriating <br />monies for the purpose of defraying <br />expenses of certain local public <br />improvements for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 01, 2002 and ending December 31, <br />2002, including all outstanding claims and <br />obligations. (Michigan St. Shops and <br />Leighton Plaza Courtyard) <br />(7) Commission approval requested for <br />Rental Proposal for 117 E. Wayne Street <br />retail space in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (currently Billies <br />Catering) <br />Mr. Williams noted that the lease for Billies <br />Catering located in the retail space in the <br />Wayne St. Garage expired in November <br />2001. The space was advertised twice with a <br />bid call -in date of December 21, 2001. The <br />bid specifications indicated the retail space <br />could be divided into two sections, 1,788 sft <br />and the remaining 1,056 sft. No bids were <br />received on December 21, 2001 nor in the <br />succeeding 30 days. Dawn Kendall, owner <br />of Billies Catering, has now submitted a <br />7 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 1868, <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, APPROPRIATING <br />MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING <br />EXPENSES OF CERTAIN LOCAL PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING JANUARY 01, 2002 AND ENDING <br />DECEMBER 31, 2002, INCLUDING ALL <br />OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS. <br />(MICHIGAN ST.
