Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1872 related to <br />acquisition of property in the Sample - <br />Ewing Development Area by eminent <br />domain. (South Michigan Public <br />Facility Development) <br />Mr. Schalliol explained that the staff <br />would like to send purchase offers for <br />three properties on S. Michigan Street. <br />These properties will be used for future <br />development of a public facility. <br />The three properties are 1115 S. Michigan <br />Street, owned by Jason & Michael Marks, <br />with a proposed purchase price of <br />$31,250.00; 1123 S. Michigan, owned by <br />Jason & Michael Marks, with a proposed <br />purchase price of $46,650.00; and a vacant <br />lot north & adjacent to 1123 S. Michigan, <br />which is actually located between the other <br />parcels, owned by Rachielle Dekel. The <br />proposed purchase price of that property is <br />$7,350.00. Mr. Schalliol noted that all <br />property owners have been contacted and <br />are aware of the forthcoming purchase <br />offer. <br />Mr. Inks asked how the purchase offer <br />amounts were established. <br />Mr. Schalliol explained that the purchase <br />offer amounts were an average of two <br />appraisals. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Roemer, seconded <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution <br />No. 1872 related to acquisition of property <br />13 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 1872 <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA BY <br />EMINENT DOMAIN.
