South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— September 6, 2002 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />D. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Roemer, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized the preparation of a <br />Development Agreement and other related <br />documents associated with the Water's Edge <br />Project. <br />E. Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) Consideration of request from Jamil <br />Packaging for extension of time. <br />Mr. Laurent reported that on April 11, 2002 <br />the Commission gave a Notice To Vacate to <br />Jamil Packaging who leases space in three <br />buildings at the Oliver Complex. The <br />180 day notice will expire on October 8, <br />2002 at midnight. Details of Jamil's <br />relocation have not yet been finalized and <br />staff is requesting that the Commission <br />approve Jamil's request to vacate the <br />premises on October 31, 2002 at midnight. <br />Mr. Laurent noted that the extension to <br />vacate would not impact demolition <br />schedules or bids. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Roemer, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized an extension of time <br />for Jamil Packaging to vacate premises. <br />(Oliver Plow property) <br />F. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Title work, 23977 Brick Rd.) <br />12 <br />COMMISSION AUTHORIZED THE PREPARATION OF <br />A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AND OTHER <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE <br />WATER'S EDGE PROJECT. <br />COMMISSION AUTHORIZED AN EXTENSION OF <br />TIME FOR JAMIL PACKAGING TO VACATE <br />PREMISES.
