Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(3) continued... <br />Studebaker Corridor Disposition Area. Due <br />to some changes in business practices, Mr. <br />Podell has not yet facilitated the planned <br />expansion. The site has been cleared and <br />mowed, with curb and sidewalk work <br />completed. It was noted that taxes are also <br />being paid on the property. Mr. Podell is <br />requesting a twenty -eight month extension <br />for the development of Parcel 26. Beginning <br />June 2002, the amendment to the original <br />contract proposes a sixteen month design <br />period followed by a twelve month <br />construction and development period. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Roemer, seconded by <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Amendment to <br />Contract for Sale of Land for Private <br />Development between the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission and T. George <br />Podell & Company, Incorporated dated <br />June 15, 2001. (Parcel 26, Studebaker <br />Corridor Disposition) <br />E. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Presidential appointment to the <br />Blackthorn Owners' Association. <br />Mr. Rock advised that Mr. William Panzica, <br />current President of the Blackthorn Owners' <br />Association, was nominated for an additional <br />three year term by the owners at their last <br />meeting.
