Tax Abatement <br />(1) continued... <br />Mr. Inks advised that the Commission is the <br />current owner of the property which will be <br />sold to Cooreman Real Estate Group, Inc. <br />and, therefore, the Commission needs to be <br />co- petitioner on the tax abatement. <br />Mr. Beitzinger noted that the tax abatement <br />request will be submitted by the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission on behalf of <br />Cooreman Real Estate Group, Inc. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized signing the tax <br />abatement petition on behalf of Cooreman <br />ILI Real Estate Group, Inc. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1917 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at The <br />Villas at Lake Blackthorn in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. (South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission for the <br />benefit of Cooreman Real Estate Group, <br />Inc.) <br />Due to previous presentations, <br />Mr. Beitzinger waived the staff project <br />summary and reported on the abatement <br />qualifications. The petitioner has not been <br />granted any previous tax abatements. The <br />properties are properly zoned for single <br />family dwelling units, and no building <br />permits have been pulled. The properties <br />are located in the Airport Economic <br />C, 16 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST TO SIGN <br />TAX ABATEMENT PETITION ON BEHALF OF <br />COOREMAN REAL ESTATE GROUP, INC. <br />
