Conducted Brownfield Data Base /GIS training for approximately 15 people. Data base <br />will be expanded in 2003 to cover entire city. Andy Laurent will head up this activity. <br />31. Provided environmental information/advice to Business Assistance team staff on <br />approximately five potential development sites. <br />32. Met with a local developer on a potential brownfield project in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />Sample Ewing Development Area <br />1. $48.7 Million in investment in the SEDA <br />2. Construction completed for Miami Auto Glass on South Michigan <br />3. Acquisition of 11 parcels in Southeast Neighborhood area <br />4. Land sale to Old Fort Building Supply <br />6. <br />Project scoping for United Beverage and United Drive project <br />7. <br />8. <br />Received a $1,050,000 Million dollar grant from IDOC for TJX project <br />Completion of land trades and land acquisition from New Hope Church <br />9. <br />Relocation of Collins Music to Miami Street and demolition of building for Life <br />Treatment Centers. <br />10. <br />YWCA is now under construction <br />11. <br />New SE park is under construction <br />12. <br />Rehab of the Wenger Home is completed <br />13. <br />Five American Home Dreams completed - two more currently under construction <br />14. <br />Oliver School demolition bids are out. <br />15. <br />New curb and sidewalks constructed along south Michigan Street. <br />16. <br />New central firestation site has been confirmed on the corner of Broadway and Michigan. <br />17. <br />Two relocations were completed this year. <br />14 <br />Airport Economic Development Area <br />1. $20 Million in investment in the AEDA <br />2 547,000 sq. ft. constructed <br />3. Tech Data - 325,000 sq /ft, re- alignment of water and sewer. <br />4.
