South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting —April 17, 2003 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) B. Sample -Ewing Development Area (4) continued.... Mr. Schalliol requested authorization to advertise the Legal Notice for the disposition of the East Sample Street Properties. The advertisements will be published in both the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News on April 25 and May 2, 2003. The receipt of bids will be May 16, 2003. Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the Commission authorized publication of the Notice for Disposition of Land with publication dates of April 25, 2003 and May 2, 2003 and Receipt of Bids at 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2003, subject to the acquisition closing on one (1) of the included parcels on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. (East Sample Street Properties) (5) Commission approval requested for Easement Agreements between Burkhart Advertising, Inc. and the City of South Bend Redevelopment Commission on Parcels 18- 7018 -0752 and 0753, and Parcel 18- 7008 -0289. Mr. Schalliol reported that one of the factors regarding the acquisition of three (3) parcels on the southeast corner of Sample Street and Carroll Street and two (2) adjacent lots on Sample Street west of Marrietta are existing outdoor advertising structures on the properties. As part of the acquisition, Easement Agreements will be entered into with Burkhart Advertising, Inc. for the signs to remain on the property.
