South Bend Central Development Area <br />(3) continued.... <br />addition, the proposal provides for the <br />construction of a parking lot that will <br />complement and facilitate the development <br />of the River Glen Office Park which, in turn, <br />will make a significant contribution to the <br />overall development of the downtown area, a <br />major objective of both the Redevelopment <br />Commission and the City of South Bend. <br />Staff recommends that the Commission <br />reject the bid because it is non - responsive. <br />Staff also recommends that, due to the <br />offer's overall merit, the Redevelopment <br />Commission authorize staff to negotiate with <br />Ganey Press Real Estate, LLP in order to <br />more fully develop a project concept and <br />budget which would be submitted at a later <br />date for the Commission's review and <br />approval. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission referred rejected the bid of <br />Ganey Press Real Estate, LLP for 402 E. <br />Monroe and authorized staff to negotiate <br />with Ganey Press Real Estate, LLP to come <br />up with an acceptable offer. <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />Amendment II to proposal for <br />professional services with Danch, Harner <br />& Associates dated January 17, 2003. <br />(Survey work, Chocolate Cafe/Hall of <br />Fame site) <br />22 <br />COMMISSION REFERRED REJECTED THE BID OF <br />GANEY PRESS REAL ESTATE, LLP FOR 402 E. <br />MONROE AND AUTHORIZED STAFF TO NEGOTIATE <br />WITH GANEY PRESS REAL ESTATE, LLP TO <br />COME UP WITH AN ACCEPTABLE OFFER <br />
