South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Blake, seconded by <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted for filing Resolution <br />No. 2001 and set a public hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2001 for Friday, October 3, <br />2003 at 10:00 a.m. at a Regular Meeting of <br />the Redevelopment Commission. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(surveying services/East Washington <br />Streetscape Improvement Project) <br />Mr. Mathia advised that at the September 5, <br />IL 2003 Commission Meeting a contract was <br />approved with Lehman & Lehman to design <br />landscape and parking lot improvements for <br />the Streetscape Improvement Project. <br />Lehman & Lehman require surveying <br />services to also be conducted. Danch, <br />Harper & Associates, Inc. have previously <br />completed surveying work in the area and <br />have current files on that work. Danch, <br />Hamer & Associates have submitted a <br />proposal to provide surveying services for <br />the project, as well as site elevations, curve <br />lines, utility and property locations that will <br />be used by Lehman & Lehman to prepare <br />their designs. The amount of Danch <br />Hamer's proposal is $13,300. Staff is <br />requesting the Commission accept the <br />proposal from Danch, Hamer & Associates, <br />Inc. and approve funding in a not -to- exceed <br />amount of $15,000 in order to provide for <br />contingencies. <br />I <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED FOR FILING RESOLUTION <br />No. 2001 AND SET A PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001 FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, <br />2003 AT 10:00 A.M.
