South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />Mr. Hunt asked if staff had run the proposal <br />by Engineering to make sure it was <br />reasonable since there was no competitive <br />bid. Mr. Mathia responded that staff is <br />confident that the proposal is reasonable and <br />will save the Commission funds since their <br />proposal is built on previous work they've <br />done in the area. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain Danch, Hamer & Associates, <br />ILI Inc. based on the scope of services and fee <br />proposed. (surveying services/East <br />Washington Streetscape Improvement <br />Project) <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />Letter of Intent to lease property located <br />in the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. (Palais retail space) <br />Mr. Rock requested that Item 6.D.(3) be <br />tabled. There were no objections and the <br />Commission tabled Item 6.D.(3). <br />(4) Staff report on disposition of property <br />located in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area.
