After reviewing the quotes,Mr. Dyszkiewicz requested that the LaSalle Park sidewalk <br /> project quotes be rejected. He will requote the project. <br /> Dr. Kelly made a motion to reject all quotes for the LaSalle sidewalk project. Mr. <br /> Mullins seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> For the asphalt project,Arnt Asphalt was the low quoter at $46,130,versus Huyser <br /> Asphalt's quote of$50,080. <br /> For the Chris Wilson Pavilion sidewalk,the quotes were LL Geans $10,820 and Northern <br /> Indiana Construction $11,550. <br /> Mr. Dyszkiewicz requested that the projects be awarded to Arm Asphalt for $46,130 and <br /> LL Geans for$10,820. <br /> Dr. Kelly made a motion to award the projects to Arnt Asphalt and LL Geans. Mr. <br /> Mullins seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> 2. Because of the amount of rain,mowing is behind schedule. It is hoped to be caught up <br /> soon. <br /> 3. The Street Department is helping put in a new recycled asphalt parking lot on Linden <br /> Avenue for the soccer leagues to keep parking off the grass. <br /> 4. The East Race is running despite the construction going on in the area. <br /> 5. A leak at Kennedy Water Playground is being fixed and the facility should be open on <br /> Wednesday. <br /> 6. The softball diamond at Boland is almost done except for the lights. <br /> 7. The Graffiti Abatement program is running. Still waiting on some equipment to be <br /> delivered. <br /> XH. Comments by the Development Director <br /> 1. Mr. Payton reported that the Foundation Board will meet again on July 13. <br /> 2. The Superintendent's Golf Outing will be held August 5. The food sponsors have been <br /> secured. <br /> 3. The Activity Guide will be going out in a couple of months. <br /> XHI. Comments by the Recreation Director <br /> 1. Ms. O'Connor reported that the annual King Center"Night of Elegance"was held <br /> recently. Over 400 youth participated. <br /> 2. The Senior Olympics opened today. We are recognized by the National Recreation and <br /> Parks Association as one of 84 that hold this event. <br /> 3. Summer programs are now up and running. <br /> 4. The City Wellness Program is holding luncheon programs at six locations in <br /> conjunction with the Century Center chef and covers healthy eating and recipes. <br /> - - 5 - - <br />
